CAT TRAINING
Welcome to my cat training blog. Here you will learn how to train your cat and tips on how to live harmoniously with your cat.
Cats are highly intelligent animals and they can be trained to do many things.Cats are known for their independence and self interest. They will resist attempts to train them by punishment, reacting with fear rather than obedience. The result of failure to instill obedience may be that the cat trains the owner, for example, teaching the human to feed it when it complains. However, cats can develop good behavior with the proper cat training KNOWLEDGE and tools.

Cats generally are not difficult to toilet train. For one, they have the instinct already to bury their wastes. Thus all that is needed is to provide a litter tray and good training.
- Train the cat during the early stage.
- A kitten being raised a the mother who uses a litter box usually need not training since the kitten will learn this from the mother.
- Make sure that a cat responds to his name before planning to toilet train.
- Choose the right litter tray. one that is durable, deep enough and made of plastic for easy cleaning and washing is advised.
- Before feeding take 10-15 minutes to play with your pet.
- Place the cat inside the litter tray after being fed, after play or when it wakes up to effectively acquaint it with using the tray.
- Regularly clean the cat's litter tray/box.
- Provide privacy for the cat. Put the litter tray in a secluded place.
- Praise the cat each time he uses the litter tray properly.
- Correct the cat immediately once failed to use the litter tray. However, do not use physical punishments. A loud saying of "no" and use of water spray is rather advised for failure to utilize the litter tray.
- Always be patient during the training stage. Results may not come right away, but the cat litter box training will pay off in time.
TRAIN YOUR CAT TO STOP BITING
Teach your cat good behavior and do not tolerate misbehavior. Excessive biting is a result of uncoorected behavior.
Biting is a part of a cat's defense mechanism. They do this when they feel threatened. Since a biting cat is a cat's way to protect themselves, humans have to be careful that their cats don't think they are threatening them in any way when they are playing with their cats.
Remember that cats are predatory by nature. They exhibit this trait by playfully pouncing and biting the hands and feet of their owners.
Identify the cause. Injury or illness and anxiety or fear causes the cat to excessively scratch. Pay close attention and observe the environment to eliminate such factors.
Treats and fun activities. Divert the cat's attention from scratching by providing toys to play with such as yarns and soft balls. Also reward with treats for constant good behavior.
